Assisted Living

With new medical technologies and the expansion of home health care practices, many people now receive the assistance they need with chronic health issues or the “activities of daily living” in their own homes. Individuals can maintain their current life style if they can receive basic assistance with taking their medications on schedule, assistance with dressing and hygiene, and simple assistance with meals and other activities in their home.

There are times when individuals are best served by living in a more highly structured and supervised environment, most often when there is some degree of memory loss or dementia. Open Circle Communities will include smaller clustered apartments with full time nursing supervision for individuals at this point in their lives.

We are asked how this will work for someone who buys a home in Open Circle Communities now, and in ten years may need to move to one of the cluster apartments with expanded services. Current homeowners will be given priority in making a move to a smaller home, just as happens in any community with graduated services. We will assist the resident in selling their larger home and making the move.

The most important assurance is knowing that one can remain in the community and receive health care and assistance as needed.
