Creating Community
What is “Community”?
At its simplest, community is created by a group of people with shared values. Community happens when people intentionally choose to work, socialize or live together because of their common interests. Open Circle Communities will draw together individuals who want to live openly and age adventurously!
Live Openly! Age Adventurously!
Our unique, active-adult, over-55 community, focused on the needs and interests of lesbians, gay men, and our allies, will offer homes rich in features and craftsmanship, a state of the art fitness center with swimming pool, leisure, privacy and a variety of events and activities. Open Circle Communities will provide the ideal place in which to live, work and play.
Our Vision
Open Circle Communities will be an active residential enclave where diversity is valued, health and wellness are promoted, and individuals can easily find the right balance of privacy and participation. We’ll offer a variety of coordinated activities to promote mental, physical, spiritual and social well-being in an aesthetically pleasing environment.
Fitness/Wellness and Health Care
One element of community is interdependence. A commitment to supporting those around you and being supported by them. Living in a community that values fitness/wellness and health care makes it easier to stay physically active. Open Circle Communities will provide residents with on-site options for fitness programs and, as needed, provide home health services, personal care assistance, and more, all on a fee-for-service basis.
Amenities and Support Services
You want it or need it – Open Circle Communities has it. Open Circle Communities will include a Community Center with state of the art fitness center and indoor/outdoor pool, community and activities rooms, and service space for traditional and alternative health care providers. Residents can choose housekeeping and home maintenance services, communal dining, and join their neighbors at the Bistro or on the Community Center patio for their morning coffee, lunch or end of the day cocktails. Living at Open Circle includes the opportunity to participate in coordinated community service activities, take a morning run with friends, join the Bridge group, or stay home and enjoy the community walking trail and on-site dog park.
